The MDBA Dog Owners Choice Awards (DOCA) are designed to give dog owners the opportunity to nominate, to recognize and to honour excellence in all areas associated with dog ownership.

The Awards provide an opportunity for all those involved in any activity or service with dogs to be acknowledged for their achievements and commitments to canine well being. It is about standards of service and ethics, but most importantly, what makes these awards unique is that the focus is on the people and what they do and not on the achievements of the dogs. Most nominations come via, puppy/dog buyers, customers/clients and peers.

Awards are open to all members and non members of the MDBA and nominations closed on the 31.12.09. Winners announced and Awards and prizes to be presented on the 20/03/2010.

Mitral Valve Disease Survey

The MDBA is conducting this survey to help us gather information on Canine Mitral Valve disease.

We ask that if you have owned a dog or currently own a dog which has been diagnosed with Mitral Valve Disease that you take approx 6 mins for each survey to help us in our attempt at getting a better understanding of this disease in our dogs.

We are hoping the results of this survey can be used to help breeders make informed decisions in their breeding programs and to work in conjunction with others to build our knowledge base on this health condition which affects the quality of life and longevity in many of our canine companions.

In this survey we are not taking pedigree details or identifying specifically who bred your dogs.We are not attempting to find incidence or prevalence in each breed.

Contact details will never be shared with any 3rd party or be used for any other purposes.

You are welcome to participate in this survey regardless of which country you live in or which country the dog was bred in or lived in.
