The curriculum includes topics on pet care, health & nutrition, additional services and business & office procedures. Only MDBA members are eligible to apply to the Certification Program

MDBA Certified Breeders, Pet sitters, Canine Rescue Workers Groomers and Grief Counsellors are expected to pass their course and adhere to a code of conduct to attain certification. Members who pass these courses will receive certificates of their qualification. There are 2 levels of certification for breeders. One which is obtained by completion of a basic Canine Breeding course and the second for those who have shown excellence and they are the best of the best by completing a full diploma course in Canine Breeding.

These Breeders will be awarded Certification as MDBA Master Dog Breeders

Certification Renewal.
After obtaining the MDBA Certification designation, an MDBA member will be certified for 3 years. The renewal coursework is currently under development and details will be provided as they become available. This is to ensure knowledge is current and the high standards of certification are maintained
